An oral solution is a liquid in which the active ingredient is completely dissolved, so the concentration is uniform throughout and shaking is not required for accuracy.
Liquids should be measured with the marked device supplied or a pharmacy oral syringe. Kitchen spoons vary considerably in volume and are not a reliable measure.
